Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Furrion Chill black, 13,500 BTU high efficiency, low profile replacement RV roof air conditioner unit. Now, as you know, too often air conditioners are the reason why you can't pull into your garage without scraping the top of that air conditioner unit, or you can't camp underneath that low tree canopy. So maybe you start looking for some low profile options, only to find that many of those low profile ACs are either underpowered, uncomfortably loud, or they're still too bulky. Or worse yet, some are just standard units in shorter housing, so that's gonna be less airflow for that unit, more noise, and really nothing solved.

This air conditioner is going to solve those problems. This system runs quietly enough that you're gonna be able to sleep through it. It draws less power, so you can go off grid with confidence. And this clears garages where standard units don't and still give you the cooling performance that you would expect from something twice its size. This 13,500 BTU per hour air conditioner is gonna be ideal for your small to medium size for RVs, campers, and other trailers.

And this uses the more energy efficient R32 refrigerant. That's going to meet the 2025 EPA regulations. So this air conditioner will work with your existing R32 compliant Furrion components, but because of safety concerns, this is not backwards compatible with any components or air conditioner systems from 2024 and earlier. So this is only gonna be compatible with your R32 compliant component. So this is going to need an air distribution box, a thermostat, and a controller.

Those items are not gonna be included with this. This is just a replacement unit, so those components will have to be R32 compliant. So this is going to fit roof opening sizes that are 14 inches by 14 inches. And the overall length of this unit from front to back, this is obviously gonna be longer than your standard profile air conditioner units. It's going to be right at 41 9/16 inches long.

The typical length of a standard RV air conditioner is gonna be from 29 to 40. So again, this is about 41 9/16 inches long. The overall width is gonna be 29 1/8 inches wide. And then the overall height is right under 10 inches, right at 9 15/16 inches tall. And again, a typical RV air conditioner can be anywhere from 12 to 16 inches tall, so this is going to give you quite a bit of clearance, sitting right under 10 inches tall. So indeed, it is a low profile unit, and this weighs a little under 90 pounds. Now this unit is going to adapt to your environment by keeping the inside of your camper at the optimal comfort level. While you have this in auto mode, this air conditioner is going to automatically adjust to the most appropriate function, whether that's cooling, whether running your fan, or dehumidifying based on the conditions within your RV. So if you do prefer more control, this air conditioner can be adjusted via a wall-mounted thermostat. Now on your screen, I am including what this looks like, some photos of what this looks like on the inside with the cover off. This is an overhead view here for you, and then also a side profile. And you can find these pictures on this product page. But it's gonna be very easy to remove the cover. You're just gonna remove the screws, remove the cover, do any cleaning and maintenance that you have to do, and then you'll just go ahead and replace the cover and the screws and you'll be good to go. And it's a pretty durable, strong cover, it feels like. This low profile rooftop air conditioner boasts a dual motor system. So what that means for you is that's gonna cut down the running noise to assist with a peaceful environment within your cabin. This also includes a heat pump, which is gonna pull the warmth from the air to heat the inside of your RV on those chilly mornings. And this does include a mounting frame assembly and a duct divider that I did not have room for on my table. So these items are included as well. So with this air conditioner unit, you're gonna be able to pull into your garage or campsite without scraping up against anything. You're gonna be able to step back and admire the good looks of your rig and the profile of your rig without having some tall, big brick-like device on the rooftop of your RV or camper. And you're gonna be able to enjoy being inside with your family because of the whisper quiet operation. And you might even be able to watch a little bit of TV before bed, all within the comfort of your camper in the nice cool air that this is providing for you.
